CriticalRace.org, launched in February 2021, is a research group focused on Critical Race Theory (CRT) and its variants, such as Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), with unparalleled and authoritative interactive databases documenting the racialization of education, covering over 700 institutions, and cited over 185 times by other media. We are expanding beyond the databases, including using our data to track how schools are rebranding and masking DEI efforts to evade recent court rulings and administrative restrictions.
Both CriticalRace.org and the Equal Protection Project (EqualProtect.org) are part of the Legal Insurrection Foundation, along with LegalInsurrection.com.
On January 20, 2025, President Trump enacted Executive Order 14151, “Ending Radical And Wasteful Government DEI Programs And Preferencing,” which ended federal funding to universities that offer DEI programming.
